I had just one molluscum contagiosum on the right palm, after my 11 years old daughter got one on her left palm. We did nothing with hers but waited for it to go away for about 6 months as her family doctor said to. I treated mine with 'Infinite Aloe Starter Healthy Skin' from Costco, applying it as many times as possible a day, after I soak it first with a drop of undiluted tea tree oil, from the same store. Most of the day I kept it covered by bandage. After the first week it was smaller, and disappeared after 1 more week.

Molluscum Contagiosum is not just a viral infection, it is a form of wart. I was infected by the father of my child during sexual intercourse and he did not tell me that he had them. Over the years, I have experienced so much ongoing stress that they have not gone away. About 4 days ago, I began taking liquid zinc and I can feel the liquid zinc burning them from the inside. Doctors recommend folic acid as a remedy for warts so I take that too, but check the web for info on supplements for warts.

My molluscum contagiosum tarted with a dozen tiny bumps that became dozens of small pimples from chin to thighs in 4 weeks. Pediatrician said to do nothing! After researching, I bought Conzerol for USD 60. Cleaned the area with hydrogen peroxide spray then ruffed up and soaked each lesion with Q-tips soaked in 90 percent alcohol (this exposed and released some waxy cores), then Conzerol morning and evening. Now, day 11, 50 percent cleared up and almost all the rest have scabs. Wonder if it could be just from peroxide and alcohol! Anyhow, almost gone.

I (29 years male) suffered from molluscum contagiosum in my genital area. I got them removed by cryotherapy in 3 sittings but new ones would come up. The doctor advised me to use tretinoin for the new ones until I was left with 2 bumps which he told me to ignore, saying that they will heal over time. But I noticed some bumps growing on my scrotum as well. On using apple cider vinegar for 2-3 weeks daily night and aloe vera gel in the morning I healed all of the bumps and they are gone for good.

My son contracted molluscum contagiosum from my daughter. Although hers got cured in a week using tea tree and iodine twice a day, his got worse. He started getting clusters of pimples all over his legs and arms. He is 13 months old so I was skeptical about using over-the-counter topical creams. For 5 days I've treated him with Epsom and sea salt, sea salt to scrub his legs and arms well, and results are amazing, it is 90 percent better. Fill the tub 2 to 3 inches with water and add 2 cups of Epsom salt.

Put bleach on the area with molluscum contagiosum for about 30 seconds. Wash it thoroughly to get all the bleach off (don't leave it on, bleach is caustic). Dry it. Put 90 percent alcohol on the area. Wait for it to dry. Put hydrogen peroxide on the area and cover it with a bandage with the sticky side on two sides and two sides open so it can breathe. Do this twice a day. Cured my son's bad case in about a week.

My son had molluscum contagiosum all over his body including his face, for over three years. He was entering into junior high and finding it very embarrassing. We tried apple cider vinegar and homeopathic remedies that we found on the internet. I also tried leaving it alone, which did not work. Finally we found a remedy that absolutely works. I use Compound W gel twice per week, 17 percent salicylic acid. When the white core of the bump is exposed you pinch it out and the bump will heal. I did this to all of his bumps and finally it went away.

I contracted molluscum contagiosum in the genital area. It was stressful and difficult to treat. I had many frozen off for over a year but more would pop up! I have been on Aldara for molluscum contagiosum for 5.5 weeks now. The doctor told me to use it every day for 6 weeks. This is 1000 percent an effective treatment but has caused my bumps to ulcerate, weep, and burn, I can barely put my pants on it hurts so bad. If you can deal with the pain, go for it. However, on the 5th week it got so bad I couldn't deal with it another day. I got tea tree oil infused with sunflower oil, aloe vera, and vitamin E. I needed something soothing for my burning mess. I mixed that with a bit of iodine. Do this!

I combined two treatments for my molluscum contagiosum. One was lemon myrtle essential oil (LMO) in a 10 percent solution with 90 percent water in a spray bottle. I sprayed this on every bump multiple times a day. Dried out my skin and then my skin had to regrow, using LMO with coconut oil to grow it all back. Two, iodine with tea tree oil on top of it (the yellowish oil from the beauty section of a store, not the straight up clear essential oil). Tea tree oil spread out the stinging to a warm pain versus the LMO which is worse. It was gone in 2 months.

I broke out with molluscum contagiosum several months ago. The dermatologist has used liquid nitrogen freezing them, and Imiquad 5 percent. I have it inside my thighs and pubic area. Using tea tree oil 3 times daily plus Vaseline several times a day is helping. My 12 year old son's chest and back are covered. I bought Conzerol soap and cream. I'm going broke buying Q-tips and tea tree oil. It has spread inside my ear, I'm a basket case. I'm trying cimetidine 400 mg 2 times a day.

My daughter was finally diagnosed with molluscum contagiosum after many visits to the dermatologists. I did not want to scar her through freezing or cutting them off so we tried this online natural product Conzerol. After just 10 days many of the lesions were gone but a few cleared after a little more time, and she was so happy and back to her old self. What a horrible virus!

Clearasil; regular, old 2 percent salicylic acid Clearasil has been effective for molluscum contagiosum. It literally cleared up my daughter's molluscum in a matter of days. Some receded, others came to a head and I popped the virus sac out, being careful not to spread it and wiping with alcohol. I couldn't believe it - this after months of suffering, torturing my daughter with apple cider vinegar, sending away to Australia for some cream that didn't work, trying every stupid thing under the sun. Amazed pediatricians don't suggest this.

I covered each area of molluscum contagiosum with a small piece of clear waterproof bandage until they matured, blistered, and finally popped under the bandage. Then I removed the bandage, sterilized with tea tree oil and re-covered it until fully healed. Once I decided to cover them there were no new spots that developed. I did not put medicine on the spots under the bandage while waiting. Additionally I washed all bed sheets, never reused bath towels or wash clothes and washed all clothes in at least warm if not hot water.

My 7 year old has had bumps from molluscum contagiosum for over a year. First the only option given to me was getting them blistered off with a blistering agent applied on skin. That was a nightmare as my 7 year old could not even sit down for 2 days without being in pain. It looked like she had sun poisoning on her buttocks and the back of her legs. Next we tried molluscum vanishing stick I found on amazon. Works well by agitating the bumps so they blister, scab and heal over a week or two period.

I popped my molluscum contagiosum and they didn't come back! Honestly, just get a sewing needle, some TCP and some grit and determination and pop them! Make sure you get out the white core (will almost look like a small white ball) as that's the contagious bit, wash your hands thoroughly and use the TCP and don't be stingy with it! Mine didn't spread like the horror stories and they haven't come back! This isn't just an STD guys, I am in a faithful marriage and I got it, so don't worry!

ZymaDerm worked so well for us for molluscum contagiosum my son had, who at the time was 11. I did notice keeping up with vitamins with zinc, vitamin C and D helped his immune system. The only thing is depending on how many bumps you have to cure you may need more than one bottle and one bottle is pricey enough. However, for us thankfully we only had to cure about 15 so we didn't use nearly half the bottle. Now fast forward to today I noticed my now 3 year old has just 1 around his shoulder blade which is covered at all times by clothing but he had a viral infection from allergies causing a 2 week cold. So now we have to purchase this product again as we cannot use the same bottle not because it is nearly 3 years old but because it's not good to cross transfer the contents of the germ. It is better to start over from scratch with a brand new bottle. He has actually had it for about 2 months but I didn't think anything of it because it was just one and it always looked like a pimple, it never looked like what my son had before. So I thought we were in the clear but nope, it has not gone away. It still hasn't spread but I am a bit worried that it might start as it is starting to look more familiar since his cold. I used an internet sales item for molluscum contagiosum and it applied like liquid brown shoe polish and had as much effect as liquid brown shoe polish, plus it stained everything! No effect whatsoever, plus the condition spread. Finally, I saw a good dermatologist who zapped the thing. I was so glad to clear that scourge up! See a good dermatologist immediately, don't mess with the condition!

A couple of years ago, my two young daughters had molluscum contagiosum for 18 months and it wasn't going away. They each had about 12 to 20 of them at a time. They did not reuse towels or pajamas and I washed laundry with a little bleach to disinfect. They wore pajamas that covered the dots so I didn't wash them every day, but did wash them weekly. They were only allowed showers, no baths. Still no luck. I finally started having success when I controlled when the dots pop, as the insides is what spreads it. I sterilized a thin needle or pin in rubbing alcohol. After their shower, I used cotton balls and alcohol on all the 'dots' and on the opposing skin (so if one was under the arm, I would also wipe the area on the rib cage where the dot would touch if the arm was down). Then starting with the red ones (the ones that may be popping soon), I used the needle to carefully take out the core of the dot, careful to try to not let any of it touch skin. I blotted them, then took a fresh cotton ball with alcohol, wiped the area and then blew on it like crazy to help with the sting. I only did 1 or 2 a night and then waited 3 to 4 days. Just be sure to get them when they start to turn red. Every night I wiped all the dots and opposing skin with alcohol and maybe the freshly popped ones in the morning too. Once they were dot free, they got to take bubble baths again!

I know I can't be the only one who was at their wit's end with this rash/skin virus so I thought I would share what worked for our family. Our nightmare with molluscum contagiosum began with my 6 year old who was exposed to it at school. I didn't think anything of it at first because there were only a few bumps under her arm, but within a few weeks it spread like crazy and my youngest who's only 18 months started showing signs too! I was definitely not going to have the doctor freeze them off or use beetle juice because of all the horror stories I've seen about the pain so for about 2 months I tried (what felt like) everything under the sun! My 3 year old has had molluscum contagiosum for going on 3 years. I don't get it. I wash her hands if I see her touch the area, I try everything the doctors suggest and she still has them. She has them on her neck and couple on arm and legs but under her neck and face mainly.

My 6 year old son developed molluscum contagiosum in June last year, he had about 3 lesions on the top of his butt, and one on his back. I didn't do any treatment until September, the dermatologist applied a solution to my son every two weeks and within a month they had spread from his butt to the backs of his knees. The doctor told me this was normal for the virus to appear more during treatment (I was very skeptical about this) but carried on treatment anyway, constantly asking why it was getting worse rather than better. After 6 months I decided to take matters into my own hands and bought cortisol, which worked good at first but now his entire butt has come out in a rash. I really don't know whether to stop the treatment or not, I applied a thin layer of the cream all over the area.

My son started with molluscum after contact with his cousin (who had it and we didn't know until it was too late). At first it was mild and then what seemed like overnight, it started to spread and the spots became larger and more painful. I was desperate to find something to help. Tee tree oil was my life saver and only thing that worked for me it disinfects so stops spreading therefore new ones will stop appearing it also shrinks existing ones even if you have them frozen then keep using it as they can spread like wildfire after that, getting the core out and disinfecting with tee tree oil and continued use of it 2-3 times a day and washing your hands should sort you out.

The only treatment that really works and fast is one called Conzerol. After months of trying all the garbage offered and the painful alternatives from dermatologists, came across Conzerol. My 7-year-old contracted the molluscum virus and we used cold sore cream, following the instructions on the tube. I was diagnosed two weeks ago and I have it near my genital area but mainly on the crease of my leg where it meets my vagina. My doc told me it's not caused by sex although it can be contacted that way but she said it's kind of like how a child breaks out with warts. It just happens and you don't know how.

My son got these on his face. My doctor recommended iodine. They shrink and dry out the molluscum and disinfect the area to keep them from spreading. Do not scrape or squeeze them, they will spread! The iodine can be applied with a cotton swab 2-3 times daily. This greatly reduces the length of time they remain. The iodine will dry them out and they should burst and be scabby as they heal. I think we have 1-2 weeks left. Good luck!

I was just treated with cryosurgery today, so I don't know yet if it worked. I just wanted to comment that I broke out with genital Molluscum three weeks ago, and I haven't had sexual contact in 9 months. I don't share towels, haven't gone swimming, don't go to a gym, and I always wash my hands very well. I'm sure there could be some other way to get it...but the ONLY other thing I can think of is a toilet seat!!
